A. Lucius “Loosh” Hubbard died Dec. 14, 1994, in South Bend, Ind., where he was born. He prepared at Princeton Tutoring School. He was v.p. of Arbor Inn Club and a member of Clio. Loosh re­ceived his LLB. at Michigan Law School and practiced law in various cities, ending up in South Bend.

During WWII, he served four years in the Navy as intelligence officer in Panama and a commanding officer of the 8th Fleet's amphibious boat pool, receiving a Navy Unit Commendation and Bronze Star for meritorious service during the landings in Southern France. He left the service in 1945 as a commander.

After the war, he resumed his law practice in Indianapolis and served as an attorney for several local coal companies.

He was a lifelong friend of Evans Kephart and they often hunted and fly-fished together. Loosh never married and his nearest surviving relative is his brother, Haven. The class mourns the loss of a fine classmate.
