He prepared for Princeton at Exeter. There is no entry for him in any other class publication until our 50-year book. In that book he indicates that he spent two years as a high school math teacher. He then spent 10 years in YMCA youth work. He then spent 32 years in student counseling at Santa Fe Community College.

Pit is survived by his wife, Marilyn; four sons, Scott, Tom, Kurt, and John; four daughters, Sherrie, Rebecca, Kay, and Alana; and 14 grandchildren.
