Margaret Halper Bloodgood ’81

Body

Margaret Halper Bloodgood died suddenly Nov. 6, 2010, of a heart attack and was laid to rest Nov. 13 in Town Hill Cemetery in New Hartford, Conn. Her Princeton roommates and longtime friends Beth Honomichl Cole and Lynn Seippel were in attendance.

Margaret’s classmates will always remember her love of literature and writing. An English major, she wrote a creative senior thesis titled “Lucy Finds Her Way.”

Born and raised in New York City, Margaret attended the City and Country School and the United Nations International School. Shortly after graduation from Princeton, Margaret married John “Chip” Bloodgood ’80 and they made their home in New Jersey and Connecticut. For over 25 years they worked together in the HVAC industry. She focused her creative talents on graphics for Energy Management Systems while employed by W.C. Industries Controls and Control Wizards.

In addition to literature, Margaret was interested in people. In the last few years of her life she started a life-coaching business that allowed her to merge her career with her fascination for the human side of life.

Margaret is survived by Chip; her sister, Sarah Barnes Halper, and her family (husband Tor Krogius, son Max, and daughter Emma); her aunts and uncles; and extended family. The class extends deepest condolences to them all.
