Martin E. Weber ’58

Marty Weber died of prostate cancer Nov. 24, 2008, at the age of 71, just months after attending our 50th reunion with his wife, Nora.

Marty came to Princeton from the Delbarton School. At Princeton, He played varsity lacrosse and 150-pound football. His excellence in chemical engineering resulted in his election to Phi Beta Kappa. After graduation he went on to MIT, where he earned a Ph.D. For the next four decades he taught chemical engineering at McGill University in Montreal, where he won several teaching awards before retiring as professor emeritus.

Marty will be fondly remembered by his many students, colleagues and friends for his love of teaching, sense of humor, and passion for skiing.

He is survived by his wife; his sons, Mark, Lawrence, Gerry, and David; and seven grandchildren, Julie, Russell, Colin, Natalie, Andrew, Jane, and Michael. To all of his family, the class extends its deepest sympathy.
