Middleton Miller ’29
MID DIED Aug. 31, 1993. He prepared at Culver Academy. At Princeton, he ran with the crosscountry team. He graduated from Harvard Law in 1932 and joined the firm of Sidley & Austin in Chicago, becoming head of the tax department and specializing in federal tax matters. He was on the planning committee of the Univ. of Chicago Tax Conference and served as a director of MedhleGoss Dexter Inc., the Moline Corp., and the American Foundation for Biological Research. He was also a trustee of the William H. Miner Foundation, the Alice T. Miner Colonial Collection, and the Gaylord Donnelly Foundation. During the war, he was an intelligence officer with a bomber unit in North Africa and Italy, retiring as a captain. He married Katrina Mauff in 1942, and she survives, together with their three daughters, Estelle Cashman, Carolyn Short, and Miranda Flanzer. The class extends sincere sympathy to Mid's family.
