Myron S. Davy ’16

Body

Myron S. Davy died on Sept. 15, 1988, in Chevy Chase, Md., where he had lived for years, managing his rental properties with the assistance of his son. After graduation, Myron attended M.I.T. and spent several years in Mexico as a geologist for American Smelting and Refining. Before he returned to Washington, he also developed his own mining interests. He had wide interests in paintings, medieval manuscripts, bookbinding, and Spanish art of the early 17th century, translating into English a long and important Spanish treatise thereon. He served as president of the Congressional Country Club and commodore of the Capitol Yacht Club. He played doubles tennis into his 93rd year. To his family go our sympathy and appreciation of this long, useful, and cultured life.
