Neil A. McConnell ’51

Neil died in N.Y.C. Feb. 11, 1994, after a long illness. He was a grandson of the founder of Avon Products, his career was spent in the stock brokerage firm with his name. He was also founder and chairman of the Neil A. McConnell Foundation, which made grants to educational, medical, cultural, and environmental institutions.

Neil attended the Harvey School in Katonah, N.Y., and was a trustee emeritus and graduated from Exeter. At Princeton, he majored in sociology, was on the lacrosse team, and was a member of Tiger Inn. He roomed with Clint Gilbert, Duke de Coningh, Ralph Peters, Jack Davis, Gerry Mayer, Don Scott, and Bill Dwight. The class extends its condolences to Neil's widow, Sandra.
