OLLIVER "Doc" as he was known to many, died May 12, 1993, in Honolulu. He attended Newark Academy before entering Princeton, where he was on the freshman lacrosse and class football teams and was a member of Terrace Club. From the time he graduated from Princeton, Ollie was in the insurance business, He became a C.L.U. in 1934, moved to New Jersey in 1936, and built a thriving insurance agency in Morris County.

In 1964, he moved to Hawaii. In Honolulu, he became associated with the Investors Equity Life Insurance Co. of Hawaii, serving as its president from 1971 to 1979, after which he retired and became vicechairman of the board.

After retirement, he served as interim president of the company several times through 1991, and was recognized as the dean of the insurance industry in Hawaii. In 1979, at age 70, he earned an M.S. in financial services from the American College in Pennsylvania. Fishing, camping, jogging, and hiking were among Ollie's hobbies. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorry; a son, Ollie 111; a daughter, Jean; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was a loyal supporter of Princeton, and the class sends condolences to his family.
