Oscar T. Martin II ’29

Oc died Feb. 5, 1995, at the Southeast Georgia Medical Center, near his recent residence in St. Simons Island, Ga. He prepared for college at Hill, and at Princeton, was in the Banjo Club and Law Club. He was in Court Club and George Snellings was his roommate. He went to Harvard Law and practice in Springfield, Ohio, until retirement, his specialties being taxation, general corporate affairs, estates, and trusts. He was president of the Clark County Bar Assn., active in numerous state and national law groups, president of the Springfield Rotary Club, and a member of the Springfield Civic Theater.

In the Covenant Presbyterian Church, he was chair of several committees, and was clerk of the session. He was on the board of Antioch College and was a trustee of numerous private trusts and several public charities. He is survived by four children: Cecily T., Nancy M. Sanders, David M. Martin ’71, Dr. Morris B., and sister Margaret B. Cooke. The class extends sincere sympathy to Oc’s family.
