PHIL LAUGHLIN DIED in Doylestown, Penn., from pulmonary complications Mar. 31, 1994. He was born June 3, 1917, in West Virginia to Palmer Hodge and Mary Watt Laughlin. He entered Princeton from Barnesville (Ohio) H.S., where he was active in dramatics and tennis.

He left Princeton after two years and eventually went into data processing to supervise various I.B.M. and Remington Rand installations. During his ca­reer, he served on the faculty of the Pierce School of Business and he was later a computer analyst for Bucks County in Pennsylvania, where he instituted a computer-aided dispatch system for emergency ser­vices for the county. Phil's leisure interests included playing bridge and chess, music, and following the Phillies.

Phil is survived by his widow, Anne LaRosa; one son, Richard P.; a grandson, Scott; and brother James W. '34. To them all, the class extends its deepest sympathy.
