Body

EXPERT TRUSTS AND ESTATES LAWYER and avid squash player and golfer Pan Ralli died Dec. 13, 1991, of a heart attack. He became a partner in Carter, Ledyard & Milburn in 1958 and was head of the estates department. He retired in 1983 to Mountain Lake, Fla., summering in Dorset, Vt.

Pan prepared at Columbia High School, where he was on the swimming team and was football manager. At Princeton he majored in politics and the School of Public and International Affairs. He was on the varsity lacrosse and squash teams and was a member of Cannon Club. He kept the Class secretary constantly informed about the numerous classmates he met.

After Harvard Law School, Pan was with McCanliss & Early and then Stewart & Shearer, before its dissolution in 1952. In between he spent four years in the Air Forcegoing from O.C.S. to captain and a commendation medalconcentrating on legal work at the Baltimore Air Base, the Pentagon, and then the Air Technical Service Command at Wright Field in Dayton, untangling the intricacies of contract terminations.

Pan married Mary Mutter in 1942. Their daughter Sherrard died in 1984, leaving two grandchildren. He is also survived by his son Ty (Constantine Pandia), also a lawyer, along with his two children.

Our hearts go out to the family on the loss of a fine Princetonian.
