Paul Harrison Pierce ’29

PAUL DIED MAY 5, 1993. He prepared for college at Hill. At Princeton, he was captain of both freshman and varsity gym teams, and president of the press club and the engineering society. He was in Elm and roomed with Tally Rogers. He went into the building field with ThompsonStarrett Co. and then the Port of New York Authority, working on the George Washington Bridge. He then joined Niagara Hudson Power in Troy, N.Y., where he stayed until 1936. Later he became V.P. of Vappi Construction Co., living in Duxbury, Mass.

He was active in the First Parish Church, the Duxbury Community Club, and he and his wife were devoted to boating on Duxbury Bay. In 1935, Paul married Nancy Richmond and she died just five days before Paul.

Paul is survived by daughter Patricia F. Loring and son David R. The class extends sincere sympathy to Paul's children.
