Paul J. Waystack ’75

PAUL WAYSTACK died at his home in Boston Oct. 17, 1992, after a long battle with cancer. He was 40 years old.

Born in Schenectady, N.Y., Paul grew up in Canton, but had lived in Boston for a number of years. He graduated from Xaverian Brothers H.S. in Westwood, Mass., where he was president of the senior class. He entered Princeton with the Class of 1974 and finished with the Class of 1975.

Paul's career was devoted to public service in the field of labor relations. In 1980, he coordinated the presidential campaign of Sen. Edward M. Kennedy. He earned a law degree from Suffolk Univ. Law School and was admitted to the Massachusetts bar. At the time of his death, he was serving as deputy director of the Commonwealth's Office of Employee Relations.

Paul loved books, sports, and music. He played in a band in the 1970s and was an accomplished pianist.

Paul is survived by his widow, Joan Kenney; his parents, Philip and Grace Maguire; three brothers, Philip Jr., Richard, and Joseph; and a sister, Mary W Banks. We share their loss.
