Paul Klingensmith ’57

Paul died Sept. 20, 2010, after a long diabetes-related illness at the age of 74. He had been a resident of Selinsgrove, Pa., for 45 years.

At Princeton, Paul majored in history, joined Quadrangle Club, was associate managing editor of The Daily Princetonian , and member of the prom committee. His senior roommates were James Campbell and Alfred Law. After graduation, Paul did Army service and received a master’s degree in English from the University of Pennsylvania.

He was a teaching fellow at the University of Pennsylvania for four years and then assistant professor of English at Susquehanna University for 36 years. His marriage to wife Linda, his great love, lasted 51 years until his death.

Paul was preceded in death by his daughter, Rachel. To Linda; their daughter, Vanessa; son-in-law Christopher; and grandson Everett, the class extends its sympathy.
