Paul Michaelides ’87
PAUL DIED quietly in Waterloo, Iowa, June 6, 1991. He came to Princeton from Cedar Falls, Iowa, as a member of the Class of 1986. Paul had aspirations of becoming a research scientist or teacher, and demonstrated remarkable ability in his chosen career, even as an undergraduate in the physics department. We will truly miss his brilliance and intellect.
Classmates and friends remember Paul as a quiet, determined person. He was unable to graduate with the Class of'86 because he braved two liver transplants during his years at Princeton. Despite his illness, he produced outstanding work in his field. Physics professors used his solutions to problem sets as answer keys, as they were done so clearly and well. other interests that Paul pursued were penandink drawing, and the cello.
Paul returned to Iowa and lived at home after graduation. He is survived by his mother, Phyllis; his father, Peter; and his brother Chris. To his family the Class extends its deepest sympathies.
