Perry Charles Evans ’76

Body

Perry died July 27, 2025, in North Carolina. He was retired from a long career in financial services.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Perry graduated from Loyola High School. At Princeton, he majored in politics and earned a certificate in African American studies. He had a deep interest in the workings of society and governance. Perry was a member of the Aquinas Institute and the Association of Black Princeton Alumni.

Roommate Adonis Hoffman remembered: “Perry and I were classmates at Loyola High School of Los Angeles and literally traveled to Princeton together in the summer of 1972. We were roommates in the Princeton Inn. During the summers, Perry worked as a junior banker at Bank of America, as did I. Upon graduation, Perry pursued graduate studies at UCLA, where he received an MBA. After that, Perry had a long and successful career as a comptroller and financial professional. He was a jazz aficionado, an exotic car enthusiast, an excellent bowler, and an accomplished photographer.”

The class extends sympathy to Perry’s wife, Helen Finch.
