Peter, of West Chester, Pa., died peacefully Oct. 14, 2021, with his beloved wife, Lisa, by his side.

Peter spent most of his life in Pennsylvania, where his family had resided for eight generations. He graduated from Harriton High School in Bryn Mawr, where he was president of the student council and captain of the football team. At Princeton he majored in economics, served as vice president of Charter Club (where he played guitar in the house band with friend Larry Singmaster), joined Army ROTC, and was elected president of the Artillery Club.

Following graduation, he served in the Army, spending a year in Korea and becoming a first lieutenant. He earned an MBA in finance at Wharton and began a long and distinguished career at Sun Oil Co., becoming CFO of Sun’s refining and marketing division and later, treasurer of the parent company. After 26 years, he retired from Sun Oil and became a financial consultant, where one of his accomplishments was leading the organization, SEC registration, and launch of the Quaker Funds, a family of mutual funds.

Among his avocations were fox hunting (he was on the board of Radnor Hunt and served as its president in the 1990s), boating, and fishing.

He and Lisa were married for 56 years. The class extends its condolences to Lisa, their three children, six grandchildren, and his two brothers.
