Peter Force De Baun ’56

PETER De BAUN died unexpectedly of a heart attack on May 16, 1989, in Stamford, Conn., his home of the past seven years. Born in N.Y.C., on July 4, 1934, Peter came to Princeton from the Loomis School. He majored in history at Princeton, where he was a member of Terrace Club. Following graduation Peter pursued a year of graduate work in history at Yale and spent two years as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army before deciding upon a career in international banking at Chase Manhattan Bank in N.Y.C. He attained the position of second V.P. in the international banking department at Chase. For the past several years Pete was a salesman and comptroller for U.S. Communications of Westchester, a telecommunications firm.

Besides his widow, Cynthia Stillman, Peter is survived by two children, Katharine '86 and Robert '90. To all of them, the Class extends its condolences.
