Leigh died May 4, 2015, in West Palm Beach, Fla., after a brief illness.

Born in Philadelphia, he graduated from William Penn Charter School. Leigh’s major was economics, and he was a member of Charter Club and the Pre-Law Society.

Robert continued his education at Columbia Law School, graduating in 1957. He began his law career as an associate in the corporate department of Sullivan & Cromwell, and later became a partner at Carter, Lane & Mittendorf. An avid sailor, he and five shipmates crossed the Atlantic on a 40-foot American sloop in 1967.

Leigh is survived by his wife, Catherine; daughter Merrill; and two grandchildren. The class extends its condolences to them.
