Ralph Townsend Hopper ’32

Body

Ralph Hopper died on July 15, 1989, at the Driftwood Convalescent Hospital in Carmel, Calif. He was 78. At his request, no services were held. He was cremated privately at the Little Chapel-of-the Sea.

Ralph spent his career with the Hanovia Co., a division of Engelhard Industries. He was first employed as a chemist in the liquid-gold dept. of that precious-metals company. He later became a specialist in gold and plati¬num paint and rose to become V.P. of Engelhard. He lived in Bernardsville, N.J., until he retired to Carmel.

Ralph was a member of St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church in Carmel Valley. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Lenore McNulty; a son, Townsend, of Hastings, Neb.; and two grandchildren. We send our deepest sympathy to them in their loss.
