RICHARD CATLIN HASKETT, professor of history emeritus at George Washington Univ., died June 4, 1994, at his home in Washington Grove, Md. He was 75. Born in Bloomington, Ind., he earned his bachelor's degree cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa at Indiana Univ. There he also received a master's in American history. During WWII, he served in the navy, in the Pacific and Caribbean theaters. Then he came to Princeton to study history. Dr. Haskett devoted his career to teaching history-American, English, and political-at George Washington Univ. He retired in 1986. In addition to all his academic pursuits, he was also an amateur architect and photographer. In the community, he served as a member of the town council and the planning commission of Washington Grove, Mo. He is survived by his widow, Anne Haskett; three daughters; a son; a sister; and eight grandchildren. We extend our sincere condolences to his entire family.
