Body

Dick prepared at Marblehead (Mass.) High School. At Princeton, he majored in history, earned three varsity letters, and was a member of Tiger Inn. His postgraduate studies included a year at Harvard Law School and a year at Columbia Business School. From 1942 to 1945, as a lieutenant in the Air Force, Dick served in the Material and Air Transport commands in New York and Puerto Rico.

Dick worked for White Motor Co. and Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co., but his longtime employment was with Chrysler Corp. in the New England and New York markets.

His big interests were in family activities, but he enjoyed gardening, swimming, tennis, and community affairs. In 1950, he was chairman of the class nominating committee.

Predeceased by his wife, Jean, he is survived by a son, Chipp Davis Wells, and a daughter, Jeannine Morris. To them, his classmates offer their deep sympathies.
