Dick died Oct. 21, 2021.

He graduated from Blewett High School in Saint Louis. At Princeton, he majored in aeronautical engineering, ate at Quad, rowed crew, and belonged to the Flying Club. After two years in the Army, he earned a master’s degree at Cornell and worked as a senior engineer for two years at Chance Vought.

In 1956, Dick was an instructor for aero engineering at New Mexico A&M in Las Cruces. He worked at Temco Aircraft for two years until 1968, when he became a manager at Martin Marietta. He took up a career in real estate as a broker for James A. Barker Associates for two years until forming his business, Radh Govinda Summers and Co., from 1978 until he retired.

Dick is survived by his wife, Patricia; and their children, Carol, David, and Richard Jr.  The class sends good wishes to them and thanks for Dick’s Army service.
