Richard James Potter ’38

Body

DICK POTTER, senior V.P. and head of Central Carolina Bank's trust and investment management division for many years, died Nov. 10, 1991.

A member of Arbor Inn, he graduated with high honors in economics and went on to receive and M.B.A. from New York Univ. After ten years in banking in and around N.Y.C., he moved to Durham, N.C., his home until his death. He had a fabulous memory and paid superb attention to detail.

After retirement in 1980, he and his wife traveled extensively and had a large backlog of trips envisioned. He was proud of Princeton and served as treasurer of the Carolina Triangle Princeton Club .

Dick is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Marilyn Mitchell, whom he dated throughout his Princeton years; daughters Mrs. Nancy Dye and Mrs. Betsy Reinert; and sisters Mrs. Genevieve Roy and Mrs. Katherine Judson. We shall miss this interesting classmate.
