DICK SKILLMAN, a popular classmate remembered for his broad smile, deep voice, and gentle humor, died Mar. 13, 1993. A son of Thumas J. Skillman 1898 and the brother of Thomas J. Jr. '31 (who died in 1984), Dick grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia. After college, he worked for General Refractories Co. in that city. In the 1960s, he served for three terms as president of the Radnor (Penn.) School Board. He was a member of out Class executive Committee from 1954 to 1959.

In 1982 ' Dick and his wife, Elizabeth (Gilman), whom he married in 1937, moved to California to be nearer their children. Betty Skillman died in 1986. After that, Dick wrote a classmate, "Having my family here is a blessing I appreciate more and more as time goes by."

Surviving arc a daughter, Barbara (Barrie), who lived with Dick in Laguna Hills, and two sons, Richard J. Jr. (Rick) '63 and Peter B., both of whom lived not far away. To them we offer our sincere sympathies.
