Richard K. Stevens ’22
RICHARD K. STEVENS died Apr. 15, 1991, in Sarasota, Fla. He is survived by his widow, Dorothy, whom he rnarried in 1979; three children; and ten grandchildren.
Dick was a loyal and devoted Princetonian, attending 60 consecutive reunions from 1927 to 1987. He served as president of the National Alumni Association from 1949 to 1957, was chairman of the Graduate Council from 1951 to 1953, and was an Alumni Trustee from 1952 to 1956. He also helped to found the Class of 1922 Foundation and was always a generous supporter.
He graduated Phi Beta Kappa and then received a law degree from Harvard. He and his brother Lewis '20 joined with two other lawyers to form the firm of Stradley, Ronon, Stevens & Young, in Philadelphia. Dick served on the boards of several corporations, including George Woodward, Inc., and was on the board of pensions of the U.S. Presbyterian Church from 1941 to 1953.
Memorial services were held in Germantown, Penn., near his longterm residence in Chestnut Hill, and in Greensboro, Vt., where he had summered for 40 years.
