Richard M. Kip ’41

Dick died Oct. 18, 2010, in Silver Spring, Md.  

He came to Princeton from the Middlesex School. He majored in psychology, was a member of the ski club and the Typing and Distribution agencies, and joined Cannon Club.

After rooming alone freshman and sophomore years, Dick roomed with Al Moses and Hugh Bell his junior year and with Carl Braun in his senior year.

After graduation and through the war period, Dick worked for Pan American Grace Airways, largely in South America. He then joined Niagara Duplication Co., but after five years returned to the airline business with Braniff Airways, becoming a regional vice president in Mexico City in 1966.

In 1970, Dick returned to New York as vice president of marketing with the Aviation Planning Division of Planning Research Corp. U.S.A.

After retirement to Norfolk, Conn., he became president of the board of trustees of the Norfolk Library and director of Norfolk Senior Housing Corp.

Dick was predeceased by his wife, Joan Frances Evans Kip, and his daughter, Isabel Ann. He is survived by his son, Michael.
