DICK HIRST died Oct. 13, 199 1, in Boise, Idaho, where he had lived since 1957. He had been V.P. and treasurer of Intermountain Gas Company.

Dick was born June 25, 1911, in Seoul, Korea, where his father was a medical missionary. He prepared at Andover. In college he was a member of Whig, and roomed with Pat Rossiter.

After college, Dick spent a number of years with Washington (D.C.) Gas Light Company. He later worked for Ebasco Services, and during that time spent two years in Athens, Greece, with his family, as controller of a hydro, project providing electric power to Athens.

In Boise he was a longtime active member of Rotary and of the Hillcrest Country Club.

On July 1, 1939, Dick married Frances Weathers in Washington, D.C. She survives him, as do their two children, Richard Bennett and Peggy Hawley. There are six grandchildren. The Class of '33 extends its deep sympathy to Frances and the children.
