Robert Benson Einhorn ’48

BOB EINHORN DIED Apr. 2, 1993, in Philadelphia following heart surgery. Bob came to Princeton from Central H.S. He majored in history and graduated in 1949, having spent two years in the navy. Bob earned his law degree from the Univ. of Pennsylvania and went into private practice, specializing in transportation law. He taught the subject at Pennsylvania State Univ. and the Academy of Advanced Traffic, and authored many articles on transportation law and regulation.

Bob was the past president of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Assn. of Transportation Practitioners and served as past chairman of the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Assn. He was named 1967 Transportation Man of the Year by the Traffic and Transportation Club of Philadelphia and was also the recipient of the first annual Transportation Person of the Yea award presented by the Delaware Valley Traffic an Transportation organizations in 1979.

Bob was an active and passionate hobbyist. He was past president of the Independence Toastmasters Club and the Pennsylvania Bonsai Society. He was a founder of the Middle Atlantic Cribbage Society codirector of the Benjamin Franklin Open Cribbage Tournament, and the senior judge of the American Cribbage Congress. Bob is survived by his widow, Barbara; his daughter, Deborah; and his son Arthur '78.
