Bob died May 9, 2025, in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and came to Princeton after graduating from Taft School. He majored in chemical engineering and was a member of Key and Seal. After graduation, he received an M.S. in chemical engineering from Princeton in 1956, then went on to earn an MBA from Rutgers and a Ph.D. from New York University. After two years in the Army as a sanitary engineer, he spent five years with Esso Standard Oil and eventually became manager of worldwide computer operations for Mobil Oil.

Bob was an avid bridge and poker player, made his own jams and ice cream, and grew his own vegetables in his ever-present garden. In retirement, he and his wife acquired a condo in Florida and concentrated on improving their skills in golf, tennis, bridge, and croquet.

Bob is survived by his son, Robert ’83; his daughter, Vicki Kerman ’77; and his five grandchildren.
