BOB LANG, at the age of 79, died Dec. 17, 1992. He was a longtime resident of Warren, N.J.

After graduation from Newark Academy, at Princeton he majored in civil engineering and was a member of Cannon Club and later of Cloister Inn. In 1972 he was elected to the Princeton chapter of Tau Beta Pi, National Honorary Engineering Society.

He served four years during WWII with the Army Signal Corps, seeing duty in both the European and Pacific Theaters. He retired from active duty in 1946 as a captain. After the war, he continued service in the Reserves, retiring in 1975 as a lieutenant colonel,

Bob spent his entire business career with New Jersey Bell Telephone in several management positions. He retired in 1978 as community relations manager.

During his adult years, he served as a volunteer leader in a great many community organizations and was honored with numerous awards.

Bob's wife, Doris Larson, whom he married in 1939, died in 1988. He is survived by a daughter, Miriam Olsen; sons Robert G. Jr. '70, Leslie L., David A., and Gregory R; a brother Richard; and four grandchildren.

We have lost an outstanding classmate and loyal princetonian.
