BOB CHAINSM died by his own hand Jan. 9,1992. He was born in Chicago on Nov. 22, 1938, and spent much of his life there. Following graduation, Bob went to graduate school at the Univ. of Chicago, where he received an M.B.A, in 1967. At the time of his death, he was the manager of systems development for the R.R. Donnelley Co. of Chicago. Bob gave much to his friends and to Chicago. He was a dedicated volunteer with the Literacy Volunteers of Chicago and taught many illiterate adults to read.
