BOB DIED of cardiac arrest Feb. 6, 1993, at his home in Villanova, Penn., he was 79.

He prepared at the William Penn Charter School, and after graduating from Princeton, he received his law degree from the Univ. of Pennsylvania.

Having received early training in the R.O.T.C., Bob served the U.S. Army with distinction in the Pacific theatre, receiving the Order of St. Barbara medal. He retired with the rank of lieutenant colonel but remained active with the reserves for 28 years.

After the war, he was selected by his Philadelphia law partners, Clark, Ladner, Fortenbaugh and Young as the one to enhance its admiralty law practice, which Bob ably accomplished.

He was active in Philadelphiaarea civic affairs, particularly the Savoy Opera Company. He was also a strong supporter of Princeton and Class of'35 activities, particularly in hosting the Class for lunch before most of the local PennPrinceton games.

Bob was an officer of the Colonial Society of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Sons of the Revolution, whose Color Guard were his honorary pall bearers. He was buried in Arlington Cemetery with full military honors.

His beloved wife, lbby, predeceased him. Survivors are daughters Isobel F. Neville, Florence C., and Edith F. Garcia; Capt. Robert N. Jr. (U.S.M.C.); and five grandchildren. The Class extends most sincere sympathies to them.
