Robert Norman Caine ’42
NORM DIED of cancer at his home in Pelham, N.Y., on Nov. 15, 1989. At the time of his death, he was a self-employed attorney and real estate broker based in Pelham.
He came to Princeton from Lawrenceville, majored in politics and was awarded the Lymen H. Atwater Prize in political science. Following graduation he joined the U.S. Army Air Corps and served with the occupation forces in Japan as adjutant of an air-sea rescue squadron. He was discharged in 1946 as a major and remained active in the Air Force Reserve for the next 21 years.
In 1953 Norm received his law degree from Columbia, moving to Pelham the same year. His entire career involved law and real estate. He was a member of the Westchester County Bar Association, the Westchester and National Boards of Realtors, and the Pelham Country Club.
To his widow, Lydia, his two sons, Douglas and Marcus, his daughter, Carolyn, and to his two grandchildren, the Class extends its most sincere condolences.
