Robert S. Howlett ’49

Body

He prepared for Princeton at Poughkeepsie (N.Y.) High School and served in the Army in Europe, winning two Purple Hearts, prior to joining the class. He studied mechanical engineering and was a member of Campus Club prior to leaving the University in 1948.  

Nothing is known of Bob’s life after leaving Princeton until the report of his death in Wilmington, N.C. His residence was in Southport, N.C.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; three daughters, Susan Murray, Jill Mays, and Meribeth Howlett; and five grandchildren. The class extends its sympathy to them on their loss.
