BOB RAU died June 13, 1991, at New York HospitalCornell Medical Center. He had suffered complications after back surgery. Bob prepared for college at Taft School, and at Princeton majored in art and archaeology. After graduation he went on to earn an M.A. degree from Columbia in vocational guidance and personnel.

Bob served on the staff of the Federation Employment and Guidance Service, a division of the Federated Jewish Philanthropies, and was later an active member of the board and president of this organization. From 1945 until he retired in 1972, Bob was employed by, and became V.P. and director of, Stein, Hall & Co., an importexport firm. He was a past president of the GodclardRiverside Community Center. Bob was himself an art collector, and donated the spirited painting "Acrobats and Horse," by Marino Merim, to the Princeton University Art Museum.

Bob married Anne Strasser on June 14, 1930. She died Apr. 14, 1978. They had a son John, Bob's second marriage was to Jane Dryfoos Bijur. She survives him, as does John, six grandchildren, and two greatgrandchildren.

Bob was a loyal Princetonian who attended the 50th and 60th reunions, and many Class gatherings in New York, The sincere sympathy of the Class is extended to Jane, John, and the younger members of the family.
