The class recently learned that Rob died Aug. 16, 2021, in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.

Joining our class from Glendale, Calif., Rob rose to the challenge of juggling his studies with scholarship jobs. He participated in Whig-Clio, 150-pound freshman crew, and 150-pound football his sophomore and junior years, as well as the Wilson Society. A history major, after graduation Rob embarked on a lengthy career in public relations. He was very vocal in crediting Princeton with inspiring his path forward. His professional life included work with corporate giants Shell Oil, General Dynamics, Hughes Helicopters, and McDonnell Douglas. He traveled the world for both work and pleasure, in countries as widespread as Iran and Chile. He was articulate about his faith in Jesus Christ and very committed to his church, Rolling Hills Covenant Church. He indulged in and enjoyed his hobbies of photography and videography.

Rob was predeceased by his wife of 34 years, Joylene. He is survived by two daughters, Monica Conner and Kristin; two sons, Nick and Quinn; and six grandchildren. The class extends its condolences to the entire family.
