RYDER HENRY died in New York on July 19, 1992, at the age of 83 With the exception of four years during WWII, he spent his life in New York, where he had a highly successful career in law.

Ryder prepared at Hotchkiss. At Princeton he was a member of the freshman and varsity rifle teams, of the polo team, and of the polo association. During his four years, he roomed with Jim Doubleday. Ryder took his law degree at Columbia Law School, and became a partner in Casey, Lane and Mittendorf, where he specialized in corporate and tax law. He was also a partner in Bache & Co.

For 48 months, Ryder was in the Army Air Force, serving in the American and AsianPacific theaters, and rising from second lieutenant to lieutenant colonel he was awarded the Bronze Star, the Philippine Liberation Medal with star, and various theater campaign medals.

He is survived by his widow, Frederica, and two stepdaughters, Holley Flagg and Camilla Lee, to whom the Class expresses its sincere sympathy.
