Seelye Cook Nagel ’31
SEELYE DIED Feb. 20, 1993. He prepared at Nichols School. While at Princeton, he was a member of Court Club. He roomed with both R. W Schneckenburger and C. H. Wheeler Jr. Seelye was a chemist and worked for a number of organizations, including the Snyder Chemical Corp., Hooker Electrochemical Company, Monsanto Chemical Company, and Robeson Process Company. He was also associated with the Institute of Paper Chemistry in Appleton, Wisc., and coauthored several published technical articles. Seelye retired twice, as a paper chemist and an industrial waste consultant, in 1974 and 1979, respectively.
He is survived by a son, Seelye; a daughter, Suzanne; and two grandchildren. He was a loyal member of the Class of 1931, and will be missed. The Class sends its condolences to his family.
