Stanley Cranstoun died peacefully Aug. 20, 2013, at Chandler Hall in Newtown, Pa.

Born in Princeton, he graduated from Princeton High School and attended the Hun School before entering college. He participated in football, baseball, and student government.

Stanley left Princeton at the end of his freshman year. He later earned his bachelor’s degree from Drexel University and a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Lehigh University. He worked for more than 30 years in the telecommunications-engineering field for AT&T. He retired from Lucent Technologies as a computer-systems engineer. An avid reader, he enjoyed playing golf with his brothers after his retirement.

He is survived by Sandra, his wife of 26 years; sons Mark, Steve, and James; daughter Anne Marie; and seven grandchildren. The class extends its condolences to them on their loss.
