Stephen Krauss Myers ’32
STEVE MYERS died Feb. 12, 1993, after a short illness.
He was born and spent most of his life in Savannah, Ga., where he contributed much to his community. After graduating from Princeton, Steve held various jobs. He spent several years with the Liberty Bank and Trust Co. and three years with a furniture company operating in various cities in the southeast. In 1939, he joined Solomons Company, wholesale druggists in Savannah, and with the exception of three years of service in the Navy in WWII, he continued with Solomons until 1961. He then joined Carson Products Company, serving as VP and treasurer, and finally retired in 1976.
Among his many civic activities, he was a member of the County Board of Education, serving one year as president; a director of the Georgia Infirmary, a director of the Kiwanis Club; president of the Men's Garden Club, and an expert on camellias.
Steve is survived by his widow, Amelia B.; three sons' Thomas E., Stephen K. Jr., and Richard L.; and two grandchildren. The Class shares with all of them our regret at the loss of this fine man.
