Susan G. Lee *88

Lee received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia in 1982. In 1984, she enrolled in a joint M.P.A.-J.D. program at Princeton and Columbia University. In 1988, she received a master’s in public affairs from Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson School and a law degree from Columbia Law School.

Initially an attorney at Arnold & Porter from 1996 to 1999, she was chief of staff at the Commodity Futures Trading Commis- sion, the U.S. agency regulating the futures and commodity-option markets.

Returning to Arnold & Porter, Lee specialized in international arbitration, litigation, and trade matters. She represented foreign governments, U.S. and foreign companies, and U.S. and foreign trade associations. In addition to representing clients in contested matters, Lee counseled clients on dispute resolution, and enforcement of arbitration awards and foreign-court judgments. Lee also was a member of her firm’s derivatives practice.

She is survived by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Roy A. Lee; a sister, Melissa L. Clark; a brother, Kenneth R. Lee; and her husband, Henry R. Winogrond, and his five children and three grandchildren.
