Theodore E. Joiner ’45

Body

TED JOINER DIED July 3, 1993, in Carbondale, Colo. Ted entered Princeton from Chicago Latin and was a member of Cloister. His Princeton studies were interrupted by WWII, in which he served as a navigator with the Eighth Army Air Force, participating in many sorties over Germany, and being awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.

After the war, he joined Bache and Co. in Chicago. Ted married Winifred Roberts Mar. 10, 1951. They had four children, Anne, Elizabeth, Thomas, and Margaret. Elizabeth predeceased Ted in 1969, but Ted is survived by Winifred, the other three children, and four grandchildren.

In Feb. 1989, Ted and Winnie moved to Carbondale, where their son resided, and purchased a home on the Crystal River. Ted enjoyed exploring the old mines on the railroads of Colorado, since he was an avid model railroader. To all of Ted's family, the class extends its deepest sympathy.
