Theodore Price ’41

Body

A lifelong resident of Ridgewood, N.J., Ted died Jan. 6, 1995, of a stroke following surgery. A service was held at St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church. His wife of 51 years, Barbara Dutcher, survives. Ted was a member of The Hill School's illustrious Class of '37. At Princeton he majored in English, with honors, and was a member of Cloister Inn.

In WWII, he became a captain, serving as assistant adjutant general in the IX Corps. He worked for an advertising agency in N.Y.C., then joined Lone Star Industries in l 960. He served as v.p. of public relations and advertising for this cementmanufacturing giant. He retired in 1982 and devoted himself to the Ridgewood Library as a trustee; to Princeton's Bergen-Passaic Alumni Assn. as president; and to his and Barbara's Ridgewood Country Club, where he was a past-president and had been interim general manager.

Surviving are Barbara, son Douglas, daughter Susan Parker, and four grandchildren. To them, the class extends its deepest sympathy.
