Body

TOM MILLER died suddenly on Nov. 1, 1989, in Evanston, Ill., less than one month after having been diagnosed as having lung cancer. He was born on Jan. 8, 1942, in Philadelphia and graduated from the Lawrenceville School.

Tom started Princeton with our Class, but withdrew for health reasons. He re-entered in Sept., 1965, and graduated in June 1967 with an A.B. in psychology. He was a member of Charter Club, the Princeton Outing Club, the University Press Club, the Woodrow Wilson Society, the Photography Club, and the Jamesburg Reformatory Project. He was on the freshman lightweight crew team and played intramural squash.

After graduation, Tom spent two years teaching disadvantaged children in N.Y.C. and then worked in commercial real estate. He graduated from Villanova Univ. Law School in June, 1973.

He served as a lawyer for the Pennsylvania Securities and Exchange Commission and subsequently was an Assistant District Attorney for the City of Philadelphia. He made a career change in 1981 and became an options trader, market maker, and member of the Chicago Board Options Exchange.

Tom is survived by his parents, Ruth and Arthur Miller, two sisters, Polly Schwartz and Corky Miller and two uncles, Jerome B. Weinstein '31 and Edward B. Weinstein '50, to whom the Class extends its sincere sympathy.
