Thomas C. Adler ’26

Body

TOM ADLER, lifelong resident of Cincinnati, died June 24, 1993, at Scarlet Oaks Nursing Home in Clifton, Ohio, after a long illness. Following graduation from Princeton, Tom went to work for the familyowned Adler Co. in the yarn business. In due course, he became the fourth C.E.O. in the I 00year history of the company, until the business was sold and the company liquidated in 1964.

Tom was noted in Cincinnati for his interest in the arts. He was a founder and member of the Contemporary Arts Center and served on the Board of the Cincinnati Art Museum from the late 1930s until his death. He was also known as a talented jazz pianist.

Tom and Emily Frank were married in Oct. 1933. He is survived by Emily; children David T., Daniel C., and Margot Adler Welch; and by five grandchildren. We extend our sympathy to all of them on the death of a talented member of the class.
