Walter Bruce Dunn ’32

Body

WAI.T DUNN died Oct. 16, 1992, at his home in Ft. Lauderdale, after a lingering illness.

Walt's activities at Princeton with the Glee Club and Triangle Club led eventually to a distinguished career in the entertainment field. After ushering in a Miami Beach movie palace, he embarked upon his primary activities in theatrical advertising and motion picture exploitation. He covered the south for M.G.M., did a stint as a talent-booking agent in Miami, and then joined the American Broadcasting Corp. in N.Y.C., working in promotion and business development. He owned or managed radio stations in Florida and the Virgin Islands. He served in the Navy in WWII.

Many of us remember Walt's sunny disposition, sense of humor, and enthusiasm, all of which contributed to his ,successful enterprises. He arid his wife were also active in school and civic matters. Wait's hobbies included horticulture and water colors.

Walt is survived by his wife of`52 years, the former Alice Chapman, of Miami; his daughter, Diana Emslie; and three grandsons; to all of whom the Class extends its sincere condolences.
