Walter Ludwig Rothschild Jr. ’34

Body

WALTER ROTHSCHILD, a real estate mortgage broker in N.Y.C. for 45 years and former chairman of the Mortgage Committee of the Real Estate Board of New York, died Suddenly on Oct. 4, 1992. An avid bridge player for many years, he was a member of the Princeton Club ' and with his wife, the former Ruth Mark, he represented the club in tournaments.

After college Walter held, in his words, "about 30 intermittent jobs (never making enough to live on)" before settling on real estate. He had his own company, which specialized in the financing of apartment houses and commercial properties with banks and insurance companies.

During WWII he worked as an industrial engineer with aircraft equipment firms Edo Aircraft Co. and ResistoFlex in New Jersey.

Surviving, besides his widow, are a son Kenneth; twin daughters, Nancy McMahon and Alice; and two grandchildren. To them we offer our sincere sympathies.
