Warren B. Burt ’55

Body

He graduated from Scarsdale High School; attended Princeton, where he joined Campus Club; attended the University of Nebraska; and graduated from U. Va. Law School. His distinguished law career centered on defending medical professionals in solo practice.

He was a leader in Republican political affairs, serving in the Delaware House of Representatives and later as a Republican committeeman.

If not for law, Warren would have lived on the stage. He appeared in local musical theater companies including Candlelight Music Theatre, The Brandywiners, and Delaware Children’s Theatre. His major roles included Ben Franklin in 1776, Daddy Warbucks in Annie, Vandergelder in Hello Dolly, and Finian in Finian’s Rainbow.

Warren is survived by his wife, Idg; three children; his former wife and friend, Cynthia; his brother, Roger; and three grandchildren. The class extends deepest sympathy to all those who adored Warren’s kind heart and gentlemanly decency.
