Wendell died Dec. 6, 2025, at home, surrounded by friends and loved ones.

He will be remembered for his tireless contributions to Southern Oregon, for his work in keeping GMO crops out of Jackson County, and especially for re-establishing Ashland’s Bellview Grange with many new members, but also as a home for Ashland Children’s Theatre, AA, folk dancing, and all manner of business meetings and social gatherings.

Wendell is remembered for his love of the divine feminine, economic justice, and his passion around ending poverty. As president of the Grange, he was often the first to show up and the last to leave after clean-up, leading by example. He was active as a brother in local Elder Group meetings and gatherings of the Mankind Project and The Ashland Pachamama Alliance.

Wendell is survived by his nephew and niece. He devoted his life to learning how to make the world a better place. We will all benefit from his example.
